Bahula Chaturthi is a festival celebrated every year. It is said that if the story of this festival is heard on every Chaturthi, then the listeners receive its benefit. This year Bahula Chaturthi was on August 7, but today we have brought a very interesting story related to Bahula Chaturthi fast.

Story- When Lord Vishnu was incarnated as Krishna, the Gods and Goddesses also took the form of Gopis to accompany him on earth. A cow named Kamdenu thought of serving Krishna, she came to earth and started living among other cows. A named Bahula came to Nand Baba's cowshed. Lord Krishna had a lot of affection for the cow. Once he thought about testing Bahula. When Bahula was grazing in the forest, Lord Krishna disguised as a lion.

Bahula trembled with fear seeing the lion standing in front of her. But daringly said to the lion "King of Jungle my calf is hungry. I will come back to feed you after feeding the calf." The lion said, "How can let you escape". Bahula swore on truth and religion and said that I will definitely come back. Impressed by Bahula's swear, Krishna disguised as the lion, let Bahula go. Bahula fed her calf and returned to the forest. Seeing the integrity of Bahula, Krishna was very happy and came in his true form and said, "Bahula passed the test. From now on on the day of Bhadrapad Chaturthi, you will be worshipped. The people who will worship you will get wealth and happiness".
