Powerful bike manufacturer Bajaj Auto is now resuming work at the Chakan plant after receiving some relief from the government in the lockdown for Coronavirus. Bajaj Auto is starting work at the plant in Chakan with a single work ship which starts at 8 am. The company resumed work at its manufacturing plant partly after the government granted some relief to the ban, with the entire industry being badly hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. Bajaj is slowly starting work, as the old orders will be completed and further production will be done considering the inventory. Let's know in full detail

Bikes are manufactured under the KTM, Husqvarna and Dominar brands in Bajaj's Chakan plant. The plant also produces the recently launched Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 and the Bajaj Dominar 250 is also manufactured. A large number of bikes made from here are exported. Bajaj Auto exported 48 percent of the bikes made from the FY 2020 plant.

To protect against Corona, Bajaj is currently monitoring its vendors which were shut down after the lockdown was announced. Initial production at Chakan plant will be done till the available inventory is over. To keep the further production running, the supply of components by the vendors is very important and due to this, further production will continue. Bajaj has already started work at its Valuj plant in Aurangabad and has already started operations at the Pantnagar plot in Uttarakhand. After the nationwide lockdown in India from 24 March, other automobile companies including Bajaj Auto stopped work, zero sales were done by April and even exports fell by 80%.
