Kanpur: The case of assault on Muslim youth in Kanpur on charges of conversion is not going to cool down. Police have registered a case against 10 persons, including 5 nominees, for assaulting a Muslim youth in the case. Police have also arrested three accused. However, Hindu organizations rushed to stage a strike outside the DCP office to protest against the arrest.

In fact, the police commissioner on Thursday informed that Ajay, Aman, and Rahul were arrested in connection with the beating of Muslim youth. As soon as they came to know about the arrest, activists of Bajrang Dal and other Hindu organizations cordoned off the office of DCP Raveena Tyagi. Not only that, but these people also recited Hanuman Chalisa in the DCP office.

Bajrang Dal workers demand that their workers be released immediately. At the same time, strict action should be taken in the case of a Hindu girl being molested by Muslim youth. The case is already registered. Bajrang Dal workers called off the strike after police assured them of appropriate action. We have arrested three boys involved in the assault, police said. These are being processed as per rules. The case is under investigation and full information will be given after investigation, police said.
