In order to keep people of other religions away from Garba, Bajrang Dal activists have also put many banner posters related to it around the Garba venue, college and university. Garba, the traditional dance of Gujarat is famous worldwide and it is celebrated with pomp at many places outside the state.
In Gujarat itself, Garba is organized on a large scale in many big cities like Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara, Bhavnagar. A large number of Muslims from Gujarat also take part in many places of the state including Ahmedabad and it has been a custom for many years that Muslim community join the Hindus in Garba and dance and give the message of brotherhood.
