Bhopal: Rice from Chinnor in the Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh has got the GI tag. Yes and chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of the farmers of the state for this achievement. In a statement recently, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, "The farmers of the state have not only got their due but have also paved the way for their economic empowerment.'' At the same time, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also said, "Madhya Pradesh is working with utmost sincerity and strength to achieve Prime Minister Modi's goal of doubling the income of farmers. Of course, the GI tag to Chinnor Rice of Balaghat will give a boost to achieving this goal.''
Later, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan thanked Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar to Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and said, "This will definitely pave the way for the prosperity of Madhya Pradesh with an increase in farmers' income. This GI tag will bring new light to the lives of farmers of Madhya Pradesh who are involved in the Pragati Yatra by providing them with a global market.''
