International Women's Day is celebrated annually on March 8 in many countries around the world. It is a day when women are recognized for their achievements and contribution in the society. Each year, the day highlights a theme on which we should collectively work and make the world a better place for women to live in.

It is worth noted that speaking of this year's campaign theme, it is "Balance for Better". Though these three words can mean differently for different people yet the basic agenda behind this theme is to build a gender-balanced world. Since balance drives a better working world, the race is on for the gender-balanced boardroom, a gender-balanced government, gender-balanced media coverage and a gender-balance of employees among many other things.
Collective action and shared responsibility for driving a gender-balanced world is the key. International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender balance. So, to promote this campaign, the little that we can do is post a picture on social media with "hands out" balance pose.
