This is one that will undoubtedly stoke the embers of the next AFM. Ana de Armas, who played in Knives Out and No Time To Die, is in talks to play the lead in John Wick spinoff Ballerina, about a young female assassin seeking vengeance on those who murdered her family.

However, the character appears briefly in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum as a dancer who is also training to be an assassin. According to sources, Shay Hatten, who previously helmed Zack Snyder's Army Of The Dead and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, will direct the action-thriller (Underworld).

Meanwhile, Lionsgate, together with producers Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, and Chad Stahelski, is returning to the John Wick franchise (the John Wick franchise director will instead be a producer on Ballerina). According to sources, the budget would be in the range of USD 50-80 million. It's unclear if Keanu Reeves will feature in the film, although he and Anjelica Huston might make cameo cameos. De Armas' fame is currently on the rise, and she is working on a number of large-scale projects. The Golden Globe nominee is presently working on Netflix and the Russo brothers' USD 200 million action film The Gray Man, as well as the same studio's long-awaited Marilyn Monroe biopic Blonde.

The Continental, a television series from Lionsgate, is adding to the universe of John Wick. Ana de Armas is represented by CAA and Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks, according to Deadline.
