Sahani turned jailer in 'stir': According to media reports, Balraj was born in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. He studied at Lahore University. He died of a heart attack on 13 April 1973. At the behest of Dileep, K.K. Asif gave Balraj an important role in the movie 'Hustle'. He became a jailer in the film.

Sahni was arrested during the procession: Let us tell you that this is from 1949. Balraj's marriage with Santosh took just 15 days. Santosh and Balraj were also spending time in those days in the preparation of the drama 'Signalman' written by Balwant Gargi. It was directed by Balraj Sahni himself. During the rehearsal, one day they got the news that the procession of the Communist Party was going to come out from Parel. An ardent supporter of leftist ideology, Balraj joined the procession along with his wife. The violence started after the procession moved a few steps away. Balraj Sahni was also taken into custody along with several people.
