Ranchi: The second T20 match of the series between India and New Zealand is scheduled to be played in Ranchi. Mafade Aamma's application was filed in the Jharkhand High Court to ban the match. Now, hearing the same application, the Jharkhand High Court allowed the 20-20 cricket match between India and New Zealand to be held in Ranchi on Friday.

A bench of Chief Justice Ravi Ranjan and justice Sujit Narayan Prasad of Jharkhand high court while hearing an application on Thursday allowed the organizers to hold the match with 100 per cent spectators capacity of the stadium. The court said it is an international match and cannot be stopped at this stage.

On the other hand, the Applicant has been exempted from taking up the matter with the court on what basis the state government allowed full spectators to watch the match at the Jharkhand Pradesh Cricket Association ground in the current circumstances of corona infection. Advocate Dhiraj Kumar had also filed a petition in the court objecting to the holding of the match with 100 per cent spectators in view of the recent situation in Corona. The second match of the 20-20 match between India and New Zealand is scheduled to be played in Ranchi on Friday, i.e. Today.
