According to reports, DM Anurag Patle, ASP Laxmi Niwas Mishra and ADM Surabhi along with the NDRF team landed in the river in the rescue operation late at night in Banda. At the same time, the rescue operation continued till around 1:30 am by both the teams and after that, the operation resumed from 6 am after being closed in the night.

In this case, DM Anurag Patel said that the rescue operation is going on. So far, 13 people have been rescued, still, 17 people are being told missing. Some of them have reached their homes. At the same time, 17 people are being searched. Teams of the BSA unit, NDRF and SDRF are also present at the spot. They are accompanied by local divers, steamers and sailors, who will guide them. In this case, local Vijay Shankar said that every year on the day of Rakshabandhan, a fair is held on the banks of the Yamuna river, and the Yamuna river is worshipped. Let us tell you that this fair is called Navi Mela in which all the villagers are involved and there is a program of dancing and singing.

After that, the women travel to the Yamuna river, although the fair has not been organized due to the sinking of the boat on Thursday afternoon. On the other hand, local Ramu said that there is a means of the boat to go across the Yamuna river, which attracts about 1000-1500 people every day. At the same time, the construction of the bridge on the Yamuna river of Marka village has been going on since 2011, although the work of the bridge has not been completed yet. However, if the bridge had been commissioned, such a major accident would have been averted. Apart from this, he said that the population of Marka village is about 14,000 and there are 10 to 15 villages adjacent to it. The villagers have a boat to go across the river. There are 6 boats on the banks of river Yamuna which carry people from this side to the other side.
