Dhaka: Some people attacked the houses and a temple of several Hindus on Tuesday night in Satkhira, Bangladesh. In Phultala village of Munshiganj in Shyamnagar Upazila, the houses of Hindus were looted and three idols of gods and goddesses kept in the temple were broken. At least 8 to 10 people of the Hindu community were injured in the entire incident.

According to the Dhaka Tribune report, the attack took place at 8 pm on Tuesday night due to a dispute between the two parties. Locals have reported that the attackers wanted to kidnap the girl from the victim's Hindu family and exploit her. A victim named Govind Baulia said that the attackers entered her house at night and tried to pick up her niece. 8-10 people, including his brother, were injured in the attack. Locals said that Pallab Mandal of Uttar Kadmatla village used to tease a daughter studying in class VIII of Jatin Bauliya. For this reason, there was an argument between the two sides and they were attacked on Tuesday.

Shyamnagar police station office in-charge Najmul Huda said, "The situation is under control." The Assistant Superintendent of Police (Kaliganj) has inspected the scene of the incident. We are trying to apprehend those involved in the attack as soon as possible under the law. ? Let us tell you that before this incident, another temple was attacked in Bangladesh on 30 March. The incident took place at a temple in Dhunot Upjila in Bagura district, where the idol of Goddess Saraswati was damaged.
