New Delhi: There are going to be about six to seven agreements between India and Bangladesh. Bangladesh's Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate three projects in addition to bilateral talks on Saturday. Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravish Kumar said while addressing the media on Friday that, "We hope that between 6 to 7 agreements will be signed between the two countries in the areas of transport, connectivity, capacity building and culture."
Ravish Kumar has said that the two leaders will jointly inaugurate three projects. You will come to know about these projects on Saturday. Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina is on a four-day India tour from Thursday. During delegation-level talks, the issue of Teesta water distribution and Rohingya will also arise. Sources told the media that during this talks, the National Register of Citizenship (NRC) will be ignored.
He has said that during the talks, emphasis will be on increasing bilateral cooperation and relations between the two countries. Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravish Kumar said that the issue of NRC and illegal migrants is a matter of trouble for Dhaka. However Ravish Kumar has described the NRC process as 'internal'.
