BAN vs IND: Despite losing 6 wickets for 69 runs, Bangladesh gave India a target of 271

Dhaka: The second match of the ODI series between India and Bangladesh is being played in Dhaka. Batting first, Bangladesh has given India a target of 272 runs. In this match, there was a 148-run partnership between Mahmudullah and Mehdi Hasan which took the Indian team on the back foot. Mehdi scored an unbeaten century. India had a good start. The Indian team took 6 wickets at a score of 69. But after this, the game went toward Bangladesh. Washington Sundar took 3 wickets for India.

Anamul Haque and captain Liton Das came to open for Bangladesh. Liton got out by scoring just 7 runs. He hit a four while facing 23 balls. Anamul scored 11 runs in 9 balls. Najmul Hossain scored 21 runs in 35 balls. He hit 3 fours. Shakib Al Hasan returned to the pavilion after scoring only 8 runs.  

Wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim also could not do anything special. He faced 24 balls and scored 12 runs with the help of 2 fours. Afif Hussain returned to the pavilion without opening the account. Mahmudullah and Mehdi Hasan had a very important partnership. Both of them scored 148 runs in 165 balls. After that, Mahmudullah was dismissed at 77 runs. He faced 96 balls and hit 7 fours. Mehdi Hasan played a treacherous inning. He scored an unbeaten 100 off 83 balls. Mehdi hit 8 fours and 4 sixes. In the end, Nasum Ahmed also remained unbeaten on 18 runs. He hit two fours and a six in his 11-ball knock. Thus Bangladesh scored 271 runs in 50 overs with the loss of 7 wickets. Washington Sundar bowled brilliantly for the Indian team. He took 3 wickets for 37 runs in 10 overs. Sundar sent Shakib, Mushfiqur, and Afif to the pavilion. While Umran Malik took 2 wickets for 58 runs in 10 overs. Umran also bowled out 2 maiden overs. Mohammed Siraj took 2 wickets for 73 runs in 10 overs. Akshar Patel gave 40 runs in 7 overs, while Shardul Thakur gave 47 runs in 10 overs and they could not get even a single wicket.
