New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that banks will have a meeting with NBFCs and retail borrowers. This meeting will be held in 400 districts. According to Sitharaman, these meetings will take place in two phases. The first meeting will be held on Tuesday 24 September to 29 September in 200 districts. After that, similar meetings will be held in 200 other districts from October 10 to October 15.

He said that the idea behind this is to ensure maximum loan during festivals. It is known that with Diwali in October, it is considered the best time for shopping in the country. Loans will be provided for retail, agriculture and MSME (micro, small and medium enterprises) and housing and other sectors during open meetings.

He said that banks have been asked not to declare any MSME loan under pressure till March 31, 2020, as NPA. Explain that the central government is on the target of opposition due to the ongoing economic slowdown in the country. The government is being accused of bringing the country's economy down. Many companies have stopped production for some time. Due to this huge number of layoffs are happening.
