"Bapu Aur Stree" promo to be released tomorrow

Many films have been made on Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, but the popular Gandhian activist and writer Sujatha Chaudhary of Bihar has made a movie called 'Bapu Aur Stree'. Tomorrow the promo of this movie will be launched on social media on Gandhi Jayanti. Chaudhary, who has written several books on Mahatma Gandhi, told UnisonMarg on Thursday that she had produced a 55-minute movie showing Mahatma Gandhi's thoughts and messages about women and Gandhi's dream of making the country free from slavery, women were also to be freed from the slavery of men.

Ms. Chaudhary, who works in Bhagalpur, has produced the film under the banner of Rasbihari Films. The film is directed by Ritesh Ranjan of Bhagalpur, passed out from Bharatendu Natya Academy. Actor Kaiser N.K of Delhi in the main role of Bapu and Chhattisgarh actress Anuradha Dubey will play the role of Baa. Other important roles in the film are played by the cast of IPTA from Bhagalpur.

The film has been shot in various parts of Bhagalpur, Bihar, and film editing, and dubbing has been done at Sangam Studios. Ms. Chaudhary said that the main theme of this movie is to show the long struggle fought by Mahatma Gandhi to provide respect and rights to women. After watching this film, Gandhi's high views and attitudes against women against the evils and misdeeds that have been going on for centuries will make people aware and will also inspire them to bring a change in society.
