These days, numerous Television superstars are coming out in the open and discussing the dreary idea of TV shows. One of the stars who is discussing the same, Barkha Sengupta, gives an example of her past show Naamkarann.

During an interview with HT, Barkha said that on television, whether it is daily dramas or comedies, they all look the same. She said that she doesn’t think there is much to be done in terms of change or development on TV. When anything is done is different then the audience doesn't accept it. It makes an actor disappointed and dejected as the effort goes waste.

She includes, "My last drama, produced by Mahesh Bhatt, was about an unmarried woman bringing up her daughter. But that track didn’t work and soon it fell back to the usual formulae. That’s when the show started getting good ratings. It is disheartening to see that, and this norm discourages you from choosing something different, no matter how much you want to," quoted in Pinkvilla.

Recently the actor has been given the 'Hot' tag. Instead of accepting it the actor does not want it to define her in any way. On this, she said that one get stereotyped if he or she has an image. I want to do a variety of roles and such an image might not be beneficial in the long run. She believes that she is not super-hot like Malaika Arora is but she surely thinks that she is ‘cute hot’ like Katrina Kaif.
