Along with this, white sandalwood and yellow and white flowers should be offered to Maa Saraswati with right hand. On this day the Goddess should offer saffron mixed kheer. Keep in mind, black, blue clothes should not be used on this day. It is said that one should eat satvik food on this day, because by doing this, you get good speech by the grace of Mother Saraswati.

On this day, if the child has a speech defect, write Aim bija mantra his tongue with a silver pen with saffron. This eliminates speech defects. On the day of Basant Panchami, students should donate books, pens etc. It is said that if you feel low in your studies, then you should offer green fruits to Mother Saraswati on the day of Basant Panchami. It is believed that one should present flute to Maa Saraswati on Basant Panchami.
