President of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) Narendra Batra has said that he is disappointed with his members' mild reaction to the gradual resumption of the Games amid Covid-19. On May 5, the IO had sought advice from the National Federations (NSFs), the state Olympic associations and the rest of the stakeholders to restart the Games. AOA conducted a survey in this regard and sought advice from the members. Now it will be prepared by the IOA and the objective was to get feedback from all stakeholders to restart the games.

Batra, however, said that the members did not contribute much to it. Batra said, "I am deeply disappointed that members of the Indian Olympic Association, whether it is the NSF or the State Olympic Association, have not helped much in this research, as far as indirectly surveying their people, Especially not even among the players. "

"I came to know from some players that some sports federations did not even share this survey with them," he said. Batra said that this survey is a good opportunity for all stakeholders to contribute to the Olympic movement. "We must have heard that one voice represents the entire sports community, but some sports federations did not take advantage of this opportunity," he said. The IOA said it has received 450 responses, out of which 178 are from players, 145 match officials and 74 support staff. The IOA said that 75 percent of the people believe that it would be right to start training after lockdown, but during this time social distancing, cleanliness will have to be taken care of.
