Aussies speedster James Pattinson has signed a new two-year deal contract with Brisbane Heat for the next edition of the Big Bash League, which is Australia's premier domestic T20 competition. The Brisbane Heat confirmed about James Pattinson contract on Wednesday, March 21.

Australian pacer James Pattinson told "I'm looking forward to working with Dan and playing alongside former Kiwis skipper Brendon McCullum and Chris Lynn and the rest of the boys," he said after being selected for the playing XI. "I'm grateful for the opportunities I have had with the Renegades, and before them the Stars, and I thank them for the great support they have provided me over the seasons”

"But joining the Heat represents a fresh start and one I am really looking forward to. The Heat get fantastic support at their home games and that will be a buzz to be a part of again. I'm feeling very good physically after the surgery and I'm looking forward to getting back into some bowling during the winter," he continued.

Speedster James Pattinson has constantly been injured and was left out of the Ashes squad as well. James suffered four stress fractures on his back and has not played a single match since July last year. He underwent a surgery in New Zealand and is close to attaining full fitness as of now. Australian pacer James Pattinson made his international debut for Australia back in 2011 but has not featured in too many matches over the years. He last played for the Kangaroos in February 2016.
