Bangalore: The funeral of the dead due to corona infection in Bengaluru will now be done free of charge. Money will not be taken for the last rites of those who died of corona in the 12 electric crematoriums of the Bangalore Metropolitan Municipality. The municipality will bear the entire expenses of the funeral. After four and a half months after Corona knocked, the state government on Saturday announced to waive the funeral fee in the city. Announcing the decision of the government, Revenue Minister R Ashok said that this decision was taken in view of the problems being faced by the relatives of the deceased.

Revenue Minister Ashok further said that on behalf of the municipality, a cremation fee of Rs 250, a collection of Rs 100 incinerator and a fee of Rs 100 is fixed. Now the relatives of the corona dead will not have to pay these charges. The municipality will bear a cost of Rs 1250 on the funeral of each corona deceased. Minister Ashok also announced an additional incentive of Rs 500 per deceased employee. Minister Ashok further said that 23 acres of land has been marked at 5 places in the city for cremation of the corona dead of the government, but everywhere the local people are facing opposition.

Minister Ashok appealed to the people for cooperation in the time of Corona crisis and said that the government wants that every deceased should be cremated honorably. It is not only wrong to put resistance in it, but it is also opposed to Indian culture.
