On the other hand, Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale told reporters ahead of Modi's visit to the Maldives that, "in the field of cricket, India can assist the Maldives in a lot of ways. They have to build a cricket stadium for which financial assistance can also be given. "He has said that the Indian side has made a proposal for the Maldives, whereby the young men and women of Maldives will be trained in cricket in India.
