The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has felicitated the team that recently won the Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup in Ahmedabad. The BCCI gave Rs 5 crore as a prize to the players at the felicitation ceremony held at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the world's largest cricket stadium. BCCI chief Roger Binny, vice-president Rajiv Shukla, and secretary Jay Shah were present at the event.

Addressing the young women cricketers, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar said, "I want to congratulate the Under-19 team. It's a great achievement. The whole country is celebrating this victory and people will be able to take a lot of inspiration from it in the coming time. By winning this World Cup, you have inspired many young girls to choose cricket. I hope you continue to inspire such youngsters. We should always remember our foundation. Where did we lay the foundation for this victory? We must remember the contribution of BCCI, be it president Roger Binny or Jay Shah, or Rajeev Shukla.''

Along with this, Sachin Tendulkar also praised the upcoming Women's Premier League. He said that WPL is a very big tournament. I think equally for men and women. I congratulate BCCI and women players for organizing this tournament.
