The video of Footage of Rishabh Pant Pant predicting the outcome of a delivery before it was bowled against Knight Riders  went viral on the internet. The viral video showed After claims of 'match-fixing' were brought up on social media, BCCI rubbished the claims terming the viral clip as "misconstructed."

A BCCI official tol PTI, “No one heard what Rishabh said before that particular sentence. He was apparently telling (Delhi Capitals captain) Shreyas Iyer to increase fielders on off-side to stop an imminent four.”

Tthe official further added that it was 'unfortunate,' that a young player's image could have been ruined due to edited and unverified footage. He said, “Maligning a young cricketer without even knowing the details is so unfortunate. A section of media allowed the social media to insinuate and vilify a young talent without getting into details. This is so disgusting.”

The video showed DC Wicket-Keeper from behind the stumps, saying “yeh to chauka hai” (this is a four) as KKR batsman Robin Uthappa was taking his stance to face spinner Sandeep Lamichhane. He hit the next ball for a boundary. While the context of Pant's statement from behind the wickets cannot be determined, a senior BCCI official clarified that the wicket-keeper was asking skipper Shreyas Iyer for a field change to stop an imminent boundary.

Talking about the match between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders, it  was a thrilling contest as the result was decided in a super over after Delhi failed to chase down the target of 186 runs inside 20 overs.
