Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given its nod for doping probe. The BCCI has agreed to come under the purview of the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA). This was disclosed by Sports Secretary Radheesham Juliana on Friday. Sports Secretary Juliana said, from now on, all cricketers will have a trest. He further said that the BCCI had raised the issue of quality of dope test kits, ability of pathologists and the process of collecting samples.

We have assured them that the facilities will be given according to their needs. It also said that there will be a fee. Board CEO Rahul Johari also confirmed that the BCCI will now come under the purview of the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA). At the same time, nada will follow all the rules.

Dope is the substance that the player's stamina increases immediately after taking. Any player can take the substance by injecting it in liquid form or by eating powder, dissolved in water. It is also taken by mixing it with food items. Significantly, the BCCI has been refusing to come inside NADA by citing itself as an autonomous body. However, the Board had to change its stand after the Sports Ministry took a tough stand.
