New Delhi: A situation of doubt has arisen over the upcoming elections of more than 30 state units of the Control Board of India, ie BCCI. This is due to the new rule of the CoA Committee of Administrators. The COA has asked to follow the new rule regarding the tenure of officers.

Which may lead to the termination of the voting rights of most members. These elections were to be held on 28 September, but now its schedule may change as the COA has asked the state associations to ensure that the six-year tenure limit of the officers includes the time spent in the work committees of their own institutions.

These officers will have to take a break of three years after completing their tenure. According to the board sources, if the time spent on the working committee is also added, the majority of the members will lose more than 80 percent of their eligible members.

It will also include officials like Bengal Cricket Association chief Sourav Ganguly and Gujarat Cricket Association joint secretary Jai Shah. A BCCI official said, "At least 10 state units have approached the amicus curiae and want an immediate resolution as we want to conduct the elections." But if the tenure of the Working Committee is included, we will have to prepare a new voter list.
