New Delhi: India has taken a 2-1 lead in the ongoing 5-match T20 series between Team India and the West Indies. India got this lead after winning the third match by 7 wickets. However, in this match, Team India also suffered a big setback. In fact, captain Rohit Sharma retired hurt after scoring just 11 off 5 balls due to a back injury. But, now the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given a big update on Rohit's fitness and given the news of relief to the fans.
The BCCI has shared a picture of the hitman's practice session on its official Twitter handle. Rohit Sharma is seen batting in this picture, while Rishabh Pant is standing outside the nets and watching him. Sharing this picture of the Indian captain, the BCCI wrote in its tweet, "Rohit Sharma is batting and Rishabh Pant is watching him.'' Earlier, the BCCI had said that captain Rohit Sharma had suffered from back spasms. But now he has recovered and is fully fit for the next two matches.
Let us know that Rohit Sharma had felt pain in the back after hitting the boundary against the West Indies and then after playing the next ball, he went off the ground with physio. The last two matches of the series are scheduled to be played in Florida, USA and after visa problems, the teams of India and West Indies have reached there.
