A research has found that if you consume more than five grams of salt daily, you may be at risk of high blood pressure, heart attack and stroke. By eating more sodium, systolic blood pressure increases by 2.86 mmHg. However, the research found that salt does not harm your health, unless you consume almost twice the amount of salt from a specified quantity. At the same time according to the World Health Organization, a person should take five grams of salt per day. In this study published in The Lancet, about 95,700 people from 18 countries including India were included.
Sometimes, due to the needs of different age groups in the home, less salt is added to the food. After that, add salt is added from top according to your taste. Slowly quit the habit of adding raw salt. Tomatoes, with lemon, can reduce the habit of eating salt. Always take iodized salt.
These can be an option
After many attempts, even if the habit of taking more salt in food is not stopped then find alternatives. Like vinegar or lemon, the salt does not feel so much as needed. Bring it in the habit, gradually the more salt will be stopped automatically. Dried spices also help in this.

Many people put a lot of salt in the salad during the dressing. This eliminates the nutrition of salads and the loss is high. Eat vinegar or lemon instead of putting salt over it, it will be beneficial.
Canned food is Harmful too
A common cause of using canned food is due to the busy schedule of life. In such a situation, a lot of salt or sugar is added to avoid food from spoiling which is bad for the health. Try to eat fresh processed food. Home cooked food is a healthy option.
