Mahesh Babu, Namrata Shirodkar, and their family have flown to Dubai to ring in the New Year 2022 away from the stress and bustle of the entertainment industry. Their New Year's Eve celebration was a private event, with the entire family appearing to have had a lovely dinner. Mahesh Babu also resorted to Instagram to give fans a glimpse inside their personal adventure, and while doing so, he sent an uplifting and optimistic note for all of his fans.

In terms of work, Mahesh Babu, who received critical acclaim for his performance in Sarileru Neekevvaru, is now preparing to play a dual part in his forthcoming film, Sarkaru Vaari Paata. In the film, the actor will portray both a bank official and a pawnbroker. Sarkaru Vaari Paata, directed by Parasuram of Geetha Govindam fame, would also feature Keerthy Suresh opposite Mahesh. Sarkaru Vaari Paata, which is being billed as a political thriller, would allegedly revolve on the issue of corruption in government agencies.
