Bhopal: A meeting of the Group of Ministers was held on Tuesday regarding the Excise Policy 2022-23 of Madhya Pradesh. In this, approval has been made on the proposal to make liquor and beer cheaper. The next meeting has been scheduled for 26 May to discuss this proposal once again.

In the same meeting of the Group of Ministers, approval has been made to impose import duty on beer and wine. Home Minister Narotta Mishra, Excise Minister Jagdish Deora, Forest Minister Dr. Vijay Shah and officers of the department were present in the meeting. The GoM has approved the proposal to reduce the import duty on beer from Rs 30 per proof liter to Rs 20 per bulk per liter and import duty on wine from Rs 10 per proof liter to Rs 5 per proof liter. A meeting will be held on May 26 to discuss this proposal again. After taking the final decision in this, the proposal will be sent to the cabinet for approval.

On the other hand, recently, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan came out on the streets of Bhopal to collect toys for the children of Anganwadi. In the Ashoka Garden area, he himself went among the general public with a hand cart and got toys and other things for the Anganwadis. Giving support to the public, materials like toys, sports items, TV screens, coolers, water campers, utensils, rugs were handed over to CM Shivraj.
