New Delhi: Every day oil marketing companies release new rates of petrol-diesel at 6 am. Yes and now even today new prices have been issued. Today again the general public has got relief and there is no change in the price. Let us tell you that petrol price in Delhi is ₹ 96.72 liters and diesel is ₹ 89.62. At the same time, the cheapest petrol in the country is Rs 84.10 in Port Blair and diesel is Rs 79.74 litre. At the same time, petrol is cheaper here by about Rs 12 a liter as compared to Delhi.

On the other hand, even today the costliest petrol in the country is Rs 114.38 per liter in Parbhani in Maharashtra and Rs 100.30 per liter in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. Today i.e. Thursday is also a relief day because there is no change in the rate of petrol and diesel. At the same time, petrol is still cheaper by Rs 29.39 in Port Blair as compared to Sriganganagar. With this, the rise in the price of crude oil is still being seen. You must be aware that a few days ago, giving a big relief to the common man, the Central Government had announced to cut the excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs.8 and Rs.6 per liter respectively, so that the price of petrol and diesel would be reduced. The low has fallen by Rs 9.5 and up to Rs 7.

At the same time, the cycle of petrol sold at the pump from crude oil contracts in the country is 22 days i.e. crude oil purchased on one of the month reaches the pump on 22nd (average estimate). In fact, the cost of processing crude oil is included in the price of one liter of retail oil, after that when it comes out of the refinery, its base price is fixed. At the same time, the cost of transporting oil from there to the pump, central and state taxes as well as the dealer's commission is also added. The cost of all this is collected from the customer.
