Today (Tuesday) at 6 am, Indian oil companies have released the latest prices of petrol and diesel. There has been no change in oil prices at the national level even on January 4, 2022, due to which the prices have remained stable. Oil companies have not increased the prices of petrol and diesel for the last two months, due to which people have got slight relief. The central government had cut the excise duty on petrol and diesel just a day before Diwali, after which the oil companies have not increased the prices till now.

According to iocl.com, petrol is being sold at the rate of Rs 95.41 and diesel at Rs 86.67 per liter in the national capital Delhi. However, in many states, the price of petrol is still above Rs 100 per liter. Petrol prices in the country's financial capital Mumbai are Rs 109.98 per liter and diesel prices are Rs 94.14 per liter. Apart from this, when talking about other metros, the oil prices in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal also remained stable. Petrol is available in Kolkata for Rs 104.67 and diesel for Rs 89.79. In Chennai, one liter of petrol is being sold for Rs 101.40 and one liter of diesel for Rs 91.43.
