Chandigarh: The Manohar Lal Khattar government of Haryana has given 21 days furlough to Gurmeet Ram Rahim of Dera Sacha Sauda. Many political meanings of this furlough given before the Punjab assembly elections are also being extracted. Gurmeet Ram Rahim, convicted of rape, is currently imprisoned in Rohtak's Sunaria Jail.

Now Gurmeet Ram Rahim of Dera Sacha Sauda has been given a furlough of 21 days by the Haryana government. Let us tell you that Ram Rahim was convicted on 8 October in the murder case of former Dera manager Ranjit Singh in the year 2002.

In this, Gurmeet and four other convicts were sentenced to life imprisonment. Earlier in August 2017, Ram Rahim was found guilty in the rape and murder case of Sadhvi. This decision was given by the special court of CBI, after which the supporters of Dera Sacha Sauda had committed violence at some places in Haryana. After this, in August 2017, Ram Rahim was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment.
