Yogi govt presents supplementary budget ahead of UP polls, know what's special about it

Lucknow: The Yogi government in the state has presented a supplementary budget on Wednesday ahead of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. State Finance Minister Suresh Khanna presented a supplementary budget of Rs 7301.52 crores in the Assembly, which is 1.33 percent of the General Budget, to implement the Yogi government's announcements and projects in the next six months. The Yogi government has staked its claim to complete development schemes including employment of youth and sugarcane payment of farmers before elections through a supplementary budget.

Presenting the Supplementary Budget, State Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that during these four and a half years, we have changed the public view. The Yogi government in UP has created many new records and broken many records. He said this supplementary budget has been presented to meet the most essential schemes. The Yogi government has made arrangements for 3,000 crores rupees to provide employment to the youth. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that in the supplementary budget, an allocation of Rs 3000 crores has been made for setting up a fund to digitally enable the youth of the state.

Through the supplementary budget, the Yogi government of the state has made additional arrangements of Rs 100 crore for the Bundelkhand expressway. An allocation of Rs 50 crore has been made for the Ballia link expressway. The budget provides for the payment of sugarcane farmers and social security funds for lawyers.
