"Being raised on movie sets has shaped me into the artist I am today": Ajay Devgn

Ajay Devgn is well known for wearing many hats, from producer to actor to director. He produced and directed the film "U Me Aur Hum" in 2008, as well as "Raju Chacha," and in 2022, he will direct "Runway 34," which is based on an incident that occurred on a flight from Doha to Kochi in 2015.

As a result of his upbringing on set (his father Veeru is a well-known action director), Ajay claimed to have acquired a variety of filmmaking skills.

The actor claimed: "I have spent my entire life working on film sets, doing everything from assisting to operating the camera, editing, and even small set-related tasks. The kind of artist I have become as of late is a result of these experiences. The challenges have always appealed to me as an actor.

"Runway 34" is an engrossing aviation tale with courtroom drama. It also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh in addition to Ajay.

Ajay went on to say what else he enjoyed about the movie: "Learning something new really interests me. I really like this genre, aviation drama, which is relatively new to the nation. Drama, excitement, emotion, and suspense abound in the script. Everything, including the aircraft, the cast, and the environment, had to feel authentic for viewers to experience the situations with us.

The moment viewers set eyes on their screens, he continued, "I think reality will grip the audience."

Rakul continued by explaining her persona: "The first officer in the movie who is portrayed by me is embroiled in a conflict that heightens the drama. It was a distinct position and a very difficult one at the same time, so it represents a turning point in my professional life."

"Because of the way he balanced his responsibilities as an actor, director, and producer on the set throughout the entire process, Ajay Devgn truly inspired me. And to top it all off, working with Amitabh Bachchan was like living out a dream. I learned so much from him being on the same set as me "Rakul finished by discussing what it was like to share a screen with Big B and Ajay.

The world premiere of "Runway 34" will air on television this coming Saturday at 8 IST.
