Indore: the ED has taken major action on corruption in Nagar Nagam in Indore city of Madhya Pradesh. ED has attached properties worth nearly Rs 5 crore to Beldar Aslam Khan of Indore Municipal Corporation suspended for corruption. These include more than 1 kg of gold, 4 plots, agricultural land and 25 lakh cash. ED had filed a case against him in money laundering last year. ED is now investigating how Beldar, who got a monthly salary of just Rs 18,000, has so much property. It is likely that the corporation officials were also involved in it. In August 2018, property worth about Rs 25 crore was recovered from Aslam in The Lokayukta's Raid Inguinal Karyakwahi.

Suspended 7 times so far:-
According to sources, Aslam Khan, who was employed on compassionate appointment in place of his father, has been suspended 7 times so far. At the behest of the custodians, political connections and a few officers, he continued to be reinstated and got the job.
