We stand shoulder to shoulder with his family in this hour of grief. The organizers of the race said that there was no word enough to describe the incident. During the race, Bjorg was a victim of an accident and left. Our condolences to his family, friends, team and the entire cycling community. It was Bjorg's second race at the professional level. He was selected as the most emerging young player in June this year. He became the Belgian National Junior Champion in 2015.

Glenn Van was second and the Guleers third in the race. Bjorg shocked everyone by registering a win in the first round of Ronde de l'Isard in 2016.
