Vehicle manufacturer Benelli is all set to introduce new bikes in the Indian market. The Leoncino 500 is expected to be launched in August. The company has started releasing its teaser on its social media platform. Benelli Leoncino 500 Scantler Style motorcycle. The Benelli-bound motorcycle is powered by a 499.6cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, twin-cylinder engine. The engine produces 47.6hp at 8,500rpm and 45Nm of torque at 5,000rpm. The front of the bike features a 50mm USD forks and a mono-shock suspension at the rear. For braking, the company offers a 320mm dual-disc at the front and a 260mm single disc brake at the rear.
The bike is available in three variants (Standard, Trail, and Sport) in the International Market. The move comes after the company will make a decision on the launch of both the other variants in the Indian market after seeing the response to the standard variant of the bike. This is what is being done.
The price of Leoncino 500 and TRK 502 in the international market is quite close to each other. However, the price of both models in the Indian market is expected to be a big difference, as Leoncino will have Benelli's entry-level 500cc bike in India. In the Indian market, Benelli's TRK 502 is priced at Rs 5.10 lakh and the TRK 502X is priced at Rs 5.50 lakh. The Leoncino 500's ex-showroom price is believed to be around Rs 4.5 lakh to Rs 4.8 lakh.
