Kolkata: Aresolution has been passed in the West Bengal Assembly against suspended Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Nupur Sharma. A resolution has been passed by Nupur Sharma on his alleged controversial statement on Prophet Mohammed. Meanwhile, there was a ruckus in the Assembly today and BJP MLAs led by leader of opposition Suvendu Adhikari staged a walkout from the House.

Mamata Banerjee said in the Assembly that the BJP is indulging in instigation, inciting and hating. Mamata Banerjee said that when there was violence in our state over this issue, we took action. But how did it happen that this woman (Nupur Sharma) has not been arrested yet? I know he won't be arrested. Mamata said, Nupur Sharma has sought four weeks' time from the Kolkata Police. Let us know that today Nupur Sharma was to appear before the Kolkata Police. However, Mamata Banerjee, who claims to be a goddess devotee herself, did not say anything on the insult of the Shivling during this period. Mohammad Ali Mirza, a Maulana Engineer from Pakistan, had said on the whole issue that the Muslim panelist first provoked Nupur Sharma and in response, the suspended BJP spokesperson commented on the Prophet.   The Maulana had said that we have to look at the whole atmosphere in this whole controversy. Nupur Sharma's style of speaking shows that she is retaliating. Nupur Sharma had said that if you talk like this, we will also say it. The maulana said the first convict was a Muslim who made a comment in a live TV programme about one's religion.

Let us know that nupur sharma had made a controversial statement about prophet Mohammad after hearing abusive language about his adorable Mahadev and Shivling in a TV debate, after which people of the Muslim community across the country staged violent protests and arson. Several Muslim countries had also condemned Nupur's statement, following which the BJP suspended Nupur Sharma from the party.
