Kolkata: Speculations are rife over the return of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Vice President Mukul Roy to the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal. Mukul Roy also did not attend the recent BJP meeting in Kolkata, after which the issue of his return to TMC has gained momentum. However, both the BJP and the TMC have so far refrained from saying anything in this regard.

Mukul Roy has also maintained doubts in the case. But on Wednesday night, TMC MP Saugata Roy in his statement hinted at the return home of several BJP MLAs including Mukul Roy. Talking to media, Saugata Roy said, "Many people are in touch with Abhishek Banerjee and they want to come back to our party. I think she cheated the party in times of need." At the same time, she said, "Mamata Didi will take a final decision in the whole matter. However I believe those who left the party need to be divided into two parts. One is a softliner and the other is a hardcore".

Saugata Roy explained that the software will be kept as the leader who left the party but never insulted CM Mamata Banerjee. While the hardcore will include those who publicly insulted CM Mamata along with changing the pala." He said, "Suvendu Adhikari changed the party and joined the BJP, and he also publicly insulted Mamata Banerjee several times. Mukul Roy never used abusive words for him".
