Bengal: In West Bengal, the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) has won by-elections in all four assembly seats. Trinamool Congress candidates won the assembly elections in Dinhata, Santipur, Khardaha, and Gosaba, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) coming in second on all four seats.

In the Dinhata constituency, TMC's Udayan Guha defeated BJP's Ashok Mandal by 1,64,089 votes. TMC's Braja Kishor Goswami defeated BJP's Niranjan Biswas by 64,675 votes in the Santipur seat. Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay of the TMC won the Kharadaha seat by a margin of 93,832 votes over Joy Saha of the BJP. Subrata Mondal of the TMC defeated Palash Rana of the BJP by 1,43,051 votes in the Gosaba assembly seat.

Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, congratulated the party candidates and said it was a people's victory. The results, she said, demonstrate that Bengalis will always prefer development and unity "over propaganda and hate politics." "I want to express my heartfelt congratulations to all four winning candidates! This victory is a victory for the people of Bengal, as it demonstrates how the Bengali people will always prefer development and unity to propaganda and hate politics.

The Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) won 213 seats in the 294-member West Bengal assembly in a landslide victory. With 77 seats, the BJP had emerged as the second-largest party.
