Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has made a lot of points while paying tributes to 'Deshnayak' Subhas Chandra Bose on his 125th birth anniversary. She said, "Netaji was a true hero and believed in the unity of all people. In fact, she said this through a tweet. "We are celebrating this day as Deshnayak Diwas. She tweeted "He believed in the integrity of the people.”

Not only that, she also said, "Her government has constituted a committee across the state to celebrate the day by 23rd January, 2022. A monument named Azad Hind Fauj will be constructed at Rajarhat. A university in the name of Netaji will also be set up, which will be fully funded by the State and will also have an agreement with foreign universities.''

At the same time, Mamata Banerjee also said that a grand Padyatra has been organised on this day. Yesterday, he also asked for the Republic Day parade in Kolkata to be dedicated to Netaji. Demanding the centre to declare January 23 as a national holiday, Mamata Banerjee said, "A siren will be played at 12:15 pm. People are requested to have a conch in their homes at this time.''
