Kolkata: The controversy over the film 'The Kerala Story' based on incidents of love jihad, conversion and terrorism in Kerala is not taking its name. Opposition parties in many states, in which the Congress is the main one, are opposing it. Now news is coming out that Mamta Banerjee government of West Bengal has banned the film 'The Kerala Story' in her state.

CM Mamta says that this film is far from facts. The topic of the film also came up in the press conference of West Bengal CM and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee. In the press conference, CM Mamta Banerjee expressed her anger towards the film . Describing the story of this film as a fabrication, she declared to ban the film . At the same time, she also expressed apprehension that these people are now going to make Bengal files (possibly on 'Direct Action Day'). However, it is also worth noting that while Mamata Banerjee is calling this film fabricated, on the other hand, two former Chief Ministers of Kerala and a former DGP have themselves accepted the talk of love jihad, conversion and terrorism in the state. .

What are the statements of former Chief Ministers regarding Jihad in Kerala :-

However, former Chief Ministers of Kerala Achuthanand and Oommen Chandy (Congress) have openly accepted about love jihad and conversion of girls in Kerala. In 2010, the then CM of Kerala VS Achuthanandan made a big statement about PFI, the radical Islamic stream in Kerala. He had said that- PFI would make 'Kerala' an Islamic state in the next 20 years by using money and marriages (love jihad). He had clearly said that the fundamentalists are converting the youth. For doing this, Muslim youths are also being paid money and they are also being asked to marry non-Muslim girls.

Oommen Chandy, another former CM of Kerala Congress, had laid a figure on the table of the Assembly on 25 June 2012. He had told that between 2006 and 2012, more than 2500 non-Muslim girls were forcibly forced to accept Islam. At the same time, in the year 2017, former DGP of Kerala TP Senkumar had also accepted that 'Love Jihad' in Kerala is a cruel reality, which cannot be denied. He had said that many girls became its victims and joined ISIS, a terrorist organization with a brutal mindset, although he did not specify the exact figure. Even the Syro Malabar Church of Kerala has been raising the issue of love jihad for the past several years regarding the conversion of Christian girls. Looking at these statements, it seems to be true that many girls have been converted in Kerala and many of them have been sent to other countries to become terrorists. But, due to non-availability of figures and concrete evidence, everyone is silent.
