AGARTALA: J.P. Nadda, the president of the BJP, said on Monday  that his party is the genuine spokesman of West Bengal and it will continue to oppose the misrule, corruption, and violence of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government.

Nadda said that while the "TMC goons launched a reign of terror across Bengal, the Congress and the Left parties remained passive spectators." Nadda is currently on a two-day visit to Tripura to bolster the BJP organisations in preparation for the upcoming assembly elections in early next year.

"The Bengali opposition is actually led by the BJP. The TMC government's corruption, bad governance, and anti-people policies would continue to be challenged by the BJP "He informed the press. The BJP President said that his party's vote share rose from 3% to 38% in just a few short years, and that it will continue to rise in the days to come.

"It is quite disheartening that Bengal, despite having a woman chief minister, ranked first in the nation for human trafficking. In Bengal, it's common for women to be raped and subjected to other horrors "Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, wasn't specifically mentioned by Nadda. He claimed that the TMC government has completely failed to deliver the goods in any aspect of human existence, and that conditions are really bad in the health, education, and other essential sectors.

The BJP President held a series of meetings at the state guest house on Sunday, shortly after arriving in Agartala, with state party officials, frontal organisation leaders, ministers, members of the Lok Sabha, MLAs, and the BJP core committee to prepare the party for the Tripura assembly elections, which will take place in six months.
