Bengaluru: The fact-finding committee of the Karnataka unit of Congress, formed to find out the reasons behind the violence in the city this week, on Saturday termed the incident as a complete failure of the Home Department and the police to conduct a judicial investigation of the case with the current High Court judge Is demanded. The committee also wanted to know on what basis some government ministers are making a statement that this incident has happened due to internal rift within the Congress.

Former Deputy CM and head of the committee G Parameshwara said in this regard, “What were the government and police doing? Don't you have an Intelligence Department? ... "While discussing with the reporters here, he has claimed that this incident has happened due to the complete failure of the Home Department and the police. He said, “The government has said that the District Magistrate will investigate this case but I demand a judicial inquiry from the present High Court judge of the case. The CM should order it immediately. "

The state government has assigned the responsibility of magistrate investigation of violence to Bengaluru Urban Deputy Commissioner GN Shivamurthy. Hundreds of people committed violence on DJ Halli and the surrounding area on Tuesday on a provocative remark posted on social media allegedly by P Naveen, a relative of Congress MLA R Akhand Srinivas Murthy of Pulakeshinagar. After 1 day of this violence, under the leadership of Ji Parmeshwar, the Congress constituted a 6-member fact-finding committee to find out the reasons for the violence.
