Prayagraj: Uttar Pradesh can be called a state where crimes against women are rising. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has now targeted the Yogi government. Recently, Priyanka Gandhi has made a big statement on the law and order government. She said, "to prevent anti-women crimes, the state government will have to change its behaviour towards women and show sensitivity." She has written a Facebook post citing some reports.

In her post, she said, "By reading the news from the Chief Minister's home sector (Gorakhpur), you will realise how the system, which has just a few days ago swept crores of rupees in false propaganda in the name of ' Mission Shakti ', which has been launched for the safety of women, is neglecting towards the safety of women at the grassroots level. The incidents of crime in Uttar Pradesh have been increasing rapidly for some time. The state Government has been targeted today over some recent incidents and it has been alleged that steps like "Beti Bachao" and "Mission Shakti" are just hollow slogans for this government. '

Priyanka Gandhi claimed, "On an average, 165 cases of crime against women are reported every day in Uttar Pradesh. She says that in the last days, there were hundreds of cases where either the administration did not listen to the aggrieved party or the victim woman was treated unfairly. In addition, she has also said, "the entire country has seen the behaviour of the UP government in incidents like Hathras, Unnao and Badaun on women safety. The basic understanding of women's safety is that the woman's voice is the first. But the state government has repeatedly acted on the contrary." Priyanka Gandhi accused the Yogi government, saying, "It is clear that "Beti Bachao" and "Mission Shakti" are just hollow slogans for the government. '
