Navi Mumbai: On Sunday,  In a case of theft, a man came on the pretext of being a replacement of a car cleaner and ran away with a Toyota Innova. This incident happened in Nerul area of Navi Mumbai. The case has baffled both the car owner and the police.

According to a source report, on Sunday around  8:00 AM a person entered the Palm Beach residency tower in Nerul and rang the bell of a house. When a resident opened the door, the person told her that the boy named Rohit, who used to wash their car, had suddenly gone to the village and sent him to wash it instead. The accused then asked the woman for the car’s keys on the pretext of cleaning it from the inside. The woman also gave the key without any inquiries.

However, as the time passed, the man did not come back to give the keys. The worried lady then informed her husband about the same. The car owner immediately filed a complaint with the police. Upon watching the CCTV footage of the building, police saw the thief taking the car out the building.
