Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo and former CM Mayawati issued a statement on the occasion of Constitution Day saying dalit classes in the country are still deprived of rights. Their reservation quota, especially in jobs, is incomplete. He said reservation should also be introduced in private sectors. The BSP supremo said dalits should be ware of Samajwadi Party she cannot develop Dalits.

Mayawati said poverty is on the rise in the country and especially the middle and poor people are very unhappy. The Central and State Governments should take note of this. Both are not serious about it. Mayawati also took a stand on agricultural laws. He said that three agricultural laws have been repealed, which is a very appropriate step, but other necessary demands of the farmers should also be met so that the farmers return to their homes happily. BSP chief Mayawati said that since the development of Dalits is not being taken care of, she has also distanced herself from the constitution day programme.

Meanwhile, BSP supremo Mayawati also announced that MLA Uma Shankar Singh will be the leader of bsp party. In fact, bsp legislature party leader Guddu Jamali had resigned from bsp on Thursday after which the post fell vacant.
