New Delhi: Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia is badly trapped in the liquor scam. He was called for questioning by the CBI on Monday (October 17) for an issue related to a liquor scam. When called for this questioning, other party leaders including Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal compared Sisodia and Satyendar Jain to Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh. Regarding this comparison, now the family of immortal sacrificer Bhagat Singh has asked Kejriwal to withdraw his statement and apologize. At the same time, BJP has also demanded an apology from Kejriwal on this statement.
On this statement of Kejriwal, Bhagat Singh's family member Harbhajan S Dutt has said that 'Kejriwal's statement is an insult to not only Bhagat Singh but all the revolutionaries. How can he compare Sisodia and Satyendar Jain with Bhagat Singh?' Harbhajan further said, 'The mission of Bhagat Singh was not a political game, but for the people of the country. A man with a political game can never be hanged. Bhagat Singh fought a war against the system of British rule. These people (Kejriwal, Sisodia) are not fighting against the system, but fighting for power. Kejriwal should take back his statement and apologize.'
At the same time, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra has said on Kejriwal's statement that earlier Kejriwal had said that Satyendra Jain should be given Bharat Ratna and now he is comparing Manish Sisodia with Bhagat Singh. He said that Arvind Kejriwal should apologize for comparing Amar Shaheed Bhagat Singh with the man who distributed liquor contracts in Delhi. Sambit Patra also said that, 'It seems that a new trend has started. Before the interrogation, the leaders reach Rajghat in the name of Satyagraha. There is no connection between corruption and satyagraha. This is a direct insult to Bhagat Singh and Mahatma Gandhi.'
