CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is set to address the state Legislative Assembly on Saturday, the second day of the Budget session.

The Chief Minister will respond to the Governor's speech. He will also speak about the government's efforts to keep the state's law and order in order. The Opposition attacked the Aam Admi Party (AAP) government on the first day of the budget session over the killing of singer Sidhu Moose Wala. Partap Singh Bajwa, the state Assembly's leader, and Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring both slammed the AAP government for lifting Moose Wala's security cover.

They claimed that the government had lifted the deceased singer's security despite threats against him. Meanwhile, the Punjab Anti-Gangster Task Force announced on Thursday that they had arrested another suspect in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case.

The accused has ties to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. With this arrest, the total number of people arrested in the case has now reached 13.

"We arrested Baldev aka Nikku today, who accompanied 'Kekda' on a reconnaissance mission for the crime. So far, 13 people have been arrested. Lawrence Bishnoi revealed that the murder planning began last year "said Pramod Ban, the head of the Anti-Gangster Task Force.
