Amritsar: The Lok Sabha Secretariat has issued directions to initiate eviction proceedings against Punjab CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Bhagwant Mann for "unauthorized" occupation of the government bungalow. Bhagwant Mann had got a government residence in Delhi. But after the resignation from the post of MP, now this bungalow will be taken back.

According to the report, Bhagwant Mann resigned as the MP of Sangrur in March itself. The Secretariat, as a member of the 17th Lok Sabha, said Mann was allotted Duplex No. 33, North Avenue by the Central government. He also said that the allotment has been cancelled since April 14, but they have not vacated the bungalow yet. The Lok Sabha Secretariat asked the Estate Officer to initiate the proceedings to evict Bhagwant Mann from the bungalow. Also, orders should be passed in this regard. There has been no response from the Punjab Chief Minister's Office (CMO) in this regard.

During their posting in Delhi, the centre's staff, MPs, judges and dignitaries are given accommodation in Delhi. During this time, when their service period is over or their tenure ends prematurely, they have to vacate the government accommodation. For this, a notice is sent to the concerned person on behalf of the property officer of the central government. You have to respond within three days.
